Privacy, access, and honest limitations
Clear expectations are part of responsible technology.
Authentication and storage
Authentication uses the platform’s secure Google, email-link, and verified password-signup services. Account profiles, enrollments, assessments, progress, projects, bookmarks, and chat history use the built-in key-value store with server-enforced private user scope. SkillConnect does not store your password. The catalogue is shipped as public original educational content; it contains no learner information.
Demo and device preferences
The presentation demo uses clearly labeled sample learner progress held in memory. Reloading restores the sample session; signing in loads your private account instead. Only your light/dark theme preference is saved on this device. Use “Clear demo data” to start a blank demo session.
AI, certificates, and opportunities
AI responses are generated, not live web searches, and can be incorrect. Do not put sensitive information into chat. Offline mode selects predefined content and cannot understand arbitrary questions. Certificates are generated by SkillConnect, with no external institutional accreditation. Opportunity cards are sample role briefs; external portals handle actual applications. Saving a card never applies for you.
Accessibility and connectivity
Text-first lessons, downloadable examples, keyboard navigation, clear labels, and responsive layouts support varied learning needs. Saving account progress and using the AI tutor require an internet connection. Career suggestions are educational guidance rather than professional placement advice.
